I experienced first hand how it feels to be a sleep deprived Mum with two children under the age of 3, and working full time. I truly understand how hard it is to be sleep deprived, and just how much you want life to change for your whole family.
There were days where I met people in the street and couldn’t recall their names. I had moments in the supermarket when my brain could no longer do simple maths to work out a special offer. In meetings at work I could not remember facts that I knew really well. And all the while I carried the Mummy guilt that my child wasn’t sleeping and thriving.
Extreme tiredness is terrible and can do really strange things to us!
That’s why I love working with families across the country (and around the world) to discover the sleep issues that are holding them back from a good night’s sleep, and supporting them to make positive changes.
How I can help you
When you work with me at The Sleep Sanctuary, we’ll work in partnership to uncover your parenting style, your child’s temperament, and your shared sleep goals. We will look at the whole picture and unpick where the challenges are really coming from.
From that insight, I will create a bespoke sleep programme for your child, and select the techniques and solutions that will work best for your family. Then I’ll support and guide you through the programme to make positive changes and keep progressing.
Here at The Sleep Sanctuary we only ever use gentle solutions that maintain a strong parental attachment. I never, ever advocate ‘Cry it Out’ solutions and would only ask you to introduce something that I would also be happy to use with my own children.
The Sleep programme that we create together may involve some degree of crying, but I will always work with you to limit the amount of tears and distress experienced by everyone in the family.
The plan will always have your family’s best interests at heart and your end goal in sight.
Some methods are quicker to see results than others, but each one will allow your child to learn the techniques required to sleep soundly, at the pace appropriate to them.
